HMC is a family-owned business that has been in the Sports and Fitness Manufacturing Industry for twenty-five years. From humble beginnings in Taichung, Taiwan, the business quickly grew as its reputation for competitive pricing and accurate manufacturing brought a constant stream of new customers. At first, the focus was on being a quality OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), but after an early entry into the Trade Show market HMC began to change its approach to that of direct sales. HMC then developed the first external magnetic resistance system to be manufactured in Taiwan. This led to an enormous growth in sales, and by the year 2000 the manufacturing side of the business was moved to China to cope with the increasing demand, and over time the factory grew to have more than 800 staff on a 22 acre property.
As an OEM company, HMC’s clients have included Slazenger, Reebok, Monark and Icon. Annual production of all types of sports equipment from HMCreached 360,000 units with an output value of $US19,000,000.00. The company has received the ISO9001:2000quality system certification since 2004, and more than 95% of its output is exported. HMC has satisfied customers in more than 40 countries.
