The Magnetless Cadence Sensor uses an accelerometer to detect rotations instead of magnetic movements. The accelerometer is an accurate tool for detecting both speed and cadence for wheel and crank arm revolutions. Not only does this allow for a more compact design, but it also saves weight and uses less power, giving extra-long battery life.

The Sensors use a small mount that secures the sensor pod inside and attaches to either the wheel hub, crank arm or even your bike shoes using a strong elastic loop. The mount secures the sensor in position and stops any unwanted movement so that the accelerometer only detects your wheel rotations and crank arm rotations.
